As women when we are nervous or scared, we make excuses. Excuses not to love ourselves, and even to not take care of ourselves. Sometimes for us it can be more important to spend time with our loved ones. We also like to use excuses such as “I want to lose 20-25 pounds before I commit to a boudoir session!” or the most heard excuse, “I just don’t have the money right now!”. I wanted to write this blog to share with you all that no matter the excuse, you CAN and should do it! Give me the chance to show you that no matter the excuse you come up with, you are worthy of self love!
It is so important to always remember that you cannot pour from an empty cup, meaning, you can’t take care of yourself physically, and mentally you’re not going to be able to care of anyone else which makes a ton of sense. It’s actually much harder said than done. I can be the worst at making sure I’m giving myself mental proper health breaks, and why I think it is important to share this with you all. I too can make the same excuses as I mentioned above and most times I need someone to look me in the eyes and tell me to slow down and give myself a break, tell me to breathe for a minute.
During a boudoir shoot you are able to stop and just breathe. You get to learn to re-love all of yourself again even if it is only for a few hours. Just think of all the time and energy you can save everyday by no longer comparing yourself to others and to no longer worry about what others think of how or what you look like. During your boudoir shoot you will get to see where your beauty comes from and this will lift such a huge weight off your shoulders.
Taking time for yourself is important, why not spend it having an amazing experience and getting pampered for once ?
Fun fact, the body type of the women in advertising pictures is naturally a body type for only 5% of American females. You do not have to be a certain size to love yourself. You do not have to fit into the idea that you must have the perfect body to love your own. Don’t continue to compare your size to everyone else. No two women are the same, even twins differ at times.
It is amazing to have weight loss goals and to want to be healthy. That does not mean you have to hate your body to achieve those goals. You have to love yourself every step of the way, be proud of where you are and where you’re going. A boudoir shoot is to celebrate where you are now, and then you can have another one when you lose that 20 pounds to celebrate how far you have come!
This excuse is the reason you should have a boudoir session. Often we as women lose touch with our femininity and or sexuality mostly because when life gets crazy we are more worried about health, kids, and work. It happens often and is normal.
Having a boudoir session can help you feel sexy again. It can put that spark that you thought you lost back in you . I can show you that you have in fact not lost that spark that is still inside. Your session might even ignite a lost spark between you and your spouse as well! Another thing to keep in mind is that you are not required to wear sexy lingerie if you feel this doesn’t show your personality. There are many other outfit ideas you can create to feel sexy. If you ever need ideas I will gladly set up a time to chat with you about them or you can check out my blog and find outfits here.
A boudoir shoot is a luxury purchase. However it is also an investment in yourself, you are investing in your own well-being and confidence. We know money can be tight and a large investment at one time can be alot, great news; we offer payment plans!
In order to book your boudoir shoot there is a session fee to solidify a date and make up artist, and after that we can set up your payment arrangement for the balance of the collection you choose to purchase so that it may be easier to book a shoot! If you have any questions or would like to talk about our payment arrangements shoot us an email while setting up your shoot! Most of our clients book 6-8 months out for their session. Let’s set up a time for a free consult!
