Jessica talks about her boudoir experience – York PA photographer. I’ve never been comfortable or confident in my own skin. My entire experience with Laura from start to finish made me more confident than I ever thought I could be. In our very first conversation I told Laura that I’m not even comfortable in sweatpants, there’s no way I can get comfortable in lingerie in front of a camera. Her understanding of my position and passion for what she does blew me away. It was like she was in my brain with the way she could put in words what I was feeling…but she also assured me that she had my back and was going to be my biggest cheerleader and she didn’t disappoint. I can be a lot when I’m nervous about something, but Laura was patient and helpful with all of my thousands of questions! What should I wear? What should I bring? Am I going to fit in the pieces in the client closet? If you can think of a question, I asked it, but at the end of every conversation, Laura still kept saying “I got you girl” and I believed her! Of course my nerves built up as the day approached, but as soon as I got there I was treated like and absolute queen! My daily aesthetic
Is something of a bridge troll mixed with exhausted mom. So getting my hair and makeup professionally done was something I hadn’t felt in a really long time. Everyone there was there to make me look and feel my best! And boy did I! I didn’t even recognize myself. Of course nerves reappeared as I was ready to shoot, but after about the first 5 minutes I was feeling myself and my confidence built! Laura’s professional demeanor mixed with her absolutely amazing personality puts you completely at ease. She will show you poses to do and help you make the perfect adjustments. Her studio is packed with possibilities for types of poses, styles, and scenery. The client closet is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen! You can be whoever you want to be! She tells you where to look when to smile, when to laugh (she has a secret way to get you to do that and get a smile that only matches the perfect candid shot!)- for a person with anxiety, having her have everything under control calmed me which isn’t easy to do. And all of that doesn’t even touch on the images.
When Laura showed me a sneak peak of a photo of me while we were still shooting (so completely unedited- just me) my jaw dropped. Even on my wedding day, I have never seen a picture of myself where I couldn’t believe it was me. Her talent is amazing. She was able to capture me in a way I have literally NEVER seen myself. My images were absolutely gorgeous. I show everyone I know because I’m so proud of them. They’re just… GORGEOUS! The whole process was incredible and I can’t wait to do it all again. My only complaint is that I can’t see myself the way I look in my images every day! It’s been 6 months since my first shoot and honestly, whenever I feel my confidence fading a little, I just look at my pictures again and I’m reminded that I’m an absolute goddess. Laura showed me that. She’s incredible and I could literally speak all day about how amazing she is!
