What women are asking us when they inquire
The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my top 12 most frequently asked questions about boudoir photography to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
My number one priority is to make sure all of my clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience but that also makes it nerve-racking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are great reasons to not share your photos, and it depends on your personal preference! When sharing images you must sign an image release agreement prior to your session however I only share images of those that give permission and or a specified model call where I will have ladies apply to model for a session and those images are typically the ones that I share.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely can wear what’s comfortable for you and your personality. There are a bunch of different ideas that you can use for an outfit that doesn’t have to be specifically lingerie that will still allow you to look and feel sexy. Oversized sweater, team jersey, or a long robe! Don’t you worry, I’ll make sure you are feeling fine!
Do you have payment plans?
We do offer payment arrangements! There is a deposit that is due upon booking your shoot, this secures your session date with our studio. Once you choose a collection to purchase your deposit will be put towards your final purchase. Each payment plan must be paid in full prior to your session. If you want more time to pay off this shoot you can schedule a few months ahead to be able to pay it off in payments prior to your scheduled session date. Let me know if there is something that you would like to set up.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is included in 3 out of our 4 collections! It is really important that you feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team will complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up” or FULL glam. You can bring and Ideas you want for your makeup and we will try and use it for inspiration! Trust the process, we got you!
Do you photoshop my images?
I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent! I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and bring out your shine!
Where should I buy my outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different styles and sizing! What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of albums and luxury portrait boxes with prints in them! The luxury portrait box comes with 10 8×10 matted prints that are my favorite. I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print, it’s so surreal to see yourself like that! ”35 glorious and glossy pages from the boudoir shoot that I flip through myself every chance I get. Do you offer digitals
All of our collections include digital images! You can choose from 10 images to ALL of your images at the time of your reveal! That’s the benefit of having four amazing collections to choose from. You get digitals AND and album!
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! Girl I GOT you! Everyone has nerves leading uyp to their session. I promise you it’s normal! That’s why I am here for you every step of the way! You need to text me, I’ll answer, you need to hop on a call fast, I’m there! By the time you arrive in the York Pa studio the team and I will get you nice and relaxed while you get all glammed up!
How many outfits should I bring?
This depends on what collection you decided on! Most invest in the top collection that includes unlimited outfit changes and sets! If you are unsure about what collection you are interested in, no worries! I can walk you through all the options! Don’t forget I have a fully stocked client closet just for you to choose from in the York PA studio!
Should I get to my shoot early?
I tell all of my clients to try and arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. IF you are traveling from a farther distance please make sure you factor in any traffic that you might encounter!
Where is your studio located?
Our studio is Located in York pa. 60 minutes north of Baltimore, 30 minutes south of Harrisburg and 2 hours west of Philadelphia PA. Our clients travel from all over the tri-state and plan to spend a full day with us in our York PA studio!
